La misa

Tras finalizar la procesión y una vez convenientemente acomodados los asistentes al evento, sobre las 12:00 horas, dio comienzo la ceremonia religiosa oficiada por el Obispo de la Diócesis Barbastro-Monzón, Monseñor Ángel Pérez, al que acompañaron en el oficio religioso una veintena de párrocos provenientes de las diversas parroquias congregadas con ocasión de la XXXVIII Romería “Vírgenes de la Ribagorza”.

El desarrollo de la misma, tal y como estaba previsto, lo inició el protocolario saludo del Alcalde, Sergio Baldellou, dando la bienvenida a todos los allí reunidos y deseándoles pasaran, una amena jornada. Finalizado éste, la misa transcurrió con toda la normalidad que el soleado y cálido día permito, si bien afortunadamente no hubo que lamentar incidentes de gravedad. Junto a la lectura de los pasajes bíblicos y el mensaje pastoral, los cánticos de la Coral de Graus, fueron el otro gran atractivo de la liturgia. Llegado el momento de la eucaristía, fueron presentadas las ofrendas que acompañaban a cada una de las imágenes, a la par que se bendijo la torta que minutos después se distribuiría entre los congregados al acto. Repartidas las sagradas formas entre los fieles de manos tanto de los párrocos allí presentes, como del Prelado Superior de la Diócesis, éste concluyó la ceremonia religiosa con el tradicional besado, una a una, de las 39 imágenes de las vírgenes reunidas y la impartición de la bendición episcopal a los romeros.

Por último, tras la ceremonia de relevo escenificada mediante la entrega de una bandera, símbolo del evento, por parte del Alcalde y del párroco de la localidad anfitriona de este año, a sus homólogos benasqueses (pues será Benasque el municipio que acoja este encuentro el año que viene); se procedió al reparto de la torta bendecida entre los participantes de la ceremonia, poniéndose así punto y final al acto central de la romería.
